Brentwood is located between Westwood and Santa Monica. It spans a large area, from Wilshire Blvd north of Sunset to the Santa Monica Mountains. It is very close to Westwood, UCLA and Santa Monica. Located North of Sunset, Crestwood Hills was designed by A. Quincy Jones and many of his mid-century modern homes remain there, protected and designated as historic monuments. The price points on homes in the Crestwood Hills tend to remain low. The Brentwood Glen is a tree lined enclave found off Sunset that feels like a little sanctuary and features cottage and ranch style homes. The streets North of San Vicente and South of Montana are very in demand and feature larger lots, tree lined streets and truly beautiful homes. Brentwood is also home to many grand and luxury estates, mostly located North of Sunset, they feature fantastic views of the city, ocean and/or Canyon. The styles run the gamut in Brentwood: country, ranch, cottage, mediterranean, moderns, for instance. San Vicente Blvd runs the length of Brentwood and has very nice restaurants and shopping. Near the Brentwood Private School, Barrington Avenue has some lovely local shops, bakeries and restaurants.The Brentwood Country Mart is a local favorite for gifts and gourmet foods. Brentwood is also home to the beautiful Brentwood Country Club.


Malibu is home to some of the most expensive real estate in the country.

With it’s pristine, key only, private beach, white sand oceanfront properties, manufactured homes in village like settings and rustic cottages on acres of land, the properties in Malibu have a lot to offer.

Point Dume, Broad Beach, Monte Nido, Carbon Beach, The Malibu Colony, Encinal Canyon are some of the most desirable areas of Malibu

Santa Monica

Located minutes from the beach, Santa Monica is a wonderful Los Angeles neighborhood.

The tree lined streets North of Montana offer beautiful Spanish homes, along with traditionals and newer modern homes. The Santa Monica and Rustic canyons are a bit more secluded, private and closer to nature. Some homes in the canyons are on bigger lots and feature streams and creeks. Sunset and Ocean Park are very family friendly neighborhoods with homes that start at a lower price point.

The Santa Monica lifestyle is an outdoor one. Many people walk, run and ride bikes on the beach walk or on San Vicente Blvd. Bikes can even be rented on the beach.

As it is closer to the beach, Santa Monica tends to have a little bit cooler climate.

Museum Square/Wilshire Vista

Wilshire Vista and Museum Square are two Los Angeles neighborhoods that are great for starter homes. Five minutes away from Beverly Hills, close to the Grove shopping and LACMA, containing mostly original Spanish, English or traditional homes built in the 1920’s to 1930’s, the price points remain a true bargain.


Wilshire Vista is located South of San Vicente Blvd and North of Pico Blvd, between Fairfax Avenue and Redondo Blvd. There are some lovely restaurants, coffee houses, dance and exercise studios on Pico near Wilshire Vista.

Museum Square is located North of San Vicente, South of Wilshire Blvd, around LACMA, the Craft and Folk Art Museum and the Architecture and Design Museum. An array of Food trucks gather across from LACMA each day. During the summer, LACMA stays open late and has free music outdoors.

There are many great restaurant and nightlife options on nearby Wilshire, Fairfax and La Brea Blvd’s, along with some fantastic Jewish private schools.


Venice is a vibrant and artistic community. Located and centered around Venice Beach, it is home to many artists and creative individuals. There are several areas in Venice, The Silver Triangle, President’s Circle, The Rose Corridor, The Canals, the walk streets.

Venice has a certain charm and bohemian lifestyle that captures many people’s hearts. The stores, galleries, restaurants and bars on Abbott Kinney Blvd, Main Street and the Rose Corridor tend to be hipper and more unique and local in feeling.

Venice is known for the Beach walkway, where one can spend the day being serenaded by a musician, biking, rollerblading, or shopping for crafts.

Venice is also home to some of the loveliest areas of Los Angeles, the Venice Canals and walkways.The small bungalows of the canals are becoming the past, as new Architectural Moderns and Cape Cod home have been built.

Properties on the walk streets are are only accessible by walking paths. The properties on the walk streets tend to be in the California Craftsman bungalow style, with some newer modern architectural homes.

The properties in Venice tend to be on smaller lots and close together, so many people build guest houses or convert their garages into studios or studio apartments for guests, extended family or for additional income.

Venice offers many great community events such as a weekly farmer’s market, community gardens, First Friday on Abbott Kinney, the Venice Art Walk and an annual garden and home tours.

Sunset Strip

Properties on the Sunset Strip can have the most incredible, panoramic views of the city, from Downtown Los Angeles to the Ocean.

The Sunset Strip spans from Doheny to Crescent Heights, North of Sunset Blvd. It includes the famous celebrity enclave of the “Bird Streets” which are streets, named after birds (Thrasher, Marcheeta, Warbler, etc) off North Doheny Drive.

The Bird Streets are very in demand. Centrally located, they tend to have larger, flat lots and newer or mid-century homes with incredible views.

Further East on Sunset Blvd is the Sunset Strip. Think of the South of France when you think of homes off the Sunset Strip. The streets can be bumpy, narrow, and windy. Homes off the strip are more secluded and private as it is a less trafficked area of the city. The “sexy modern” is the most in demand style of property on the Strip.

Many of the homes there are designed to take full advantage of the Los Angeles’ indoor/outdoor living with retractable doors, complete sound systems, fire pits and infinity pools. Many celebrities and athletes live on the Sunset Strip.

Beverly Hills

With a strong school system, incredible shopping, and an active community, Beverly Hills is one of Los Angele’s premier neighborhoods. Close to freeways, downtown, the mountains and the beaches, Beverly Hills is in an ideal location.

From the mid-modern century view estates in Trousdale to the Beverly Hills flats, Beverly Hills features a vast array of architectural properties. Starter homes in the Southernmost part of Beverly Hills are at a lower price point and there are some great condominium complexes, including a few buildings with valet and concierge service at a lower price point as well.

Property values in Beverly Hills tend to hold steady even in down markets as properties there are very much in demand by international buyers are investors.

Beverly Hills is known for luxury. Centered by the designer stores on Rodeo Drive, 5 star hotels and restaurants, the soon to be opened Annenberg Center for Performing Arts, and a strong school district and featuring many community events, including a weekly farmer’s market, Beverly Hills is a truly wonderful place to live.
